Day 6 June 27, 2017 Aschach & Linz, Austria. Passau, Germany
Another early morning for me, up and about by 5:45 am. Fortunately we were docked across street from, Aschach, Austria. I walked around for about an hour. Many interesting street, door and windows. The local bakery was open, although the proprietress was not happy that I took photo inside shop. The street cleaners were up and working and the teens were at bus stop waiting for transportation to school(?). Then back on ship for 7:00am exercise and breakfast.
If you remember, the bus to take us to Linz was delayed, so Lorelay took us to tour the local church. We had an interesting walking tour of Linz with stop for coffee and Linzer torte. The orange group had a local guide who was on a tour of her own, we had to work to keep up. The photo of the Linz area on the floor of city hall was fascinating and the streets, buildings and tourist shuttle-train were photo worthy.
Back on ship for for lunch, discover the days towel art and enjoyed the ride to Passau, Germany – “The Three Rivers City”, at the confluence of rivers Danube, Inn and Liz. Had to exit ship from sundeck to and through adjacent ship for a few hours of walking tour. Glad to get back on board for dinner and restful evening –and another round of trivia “Around the World”
